Note: All CREATE professional learning has been moved to a virtual format until the Covid-19 pandemic abates.
CREATE offers two (2) Compassion-Centered Professional Learning Opportunities
Presence Power Impact
Presence Power Impact is an interactive institute during which participants explore how practices of compassion and discernment enhance their presence, power and impact. The Presence Power Impact institute engages the research-based practices of Emory University’s CBCT® (Cognitively-Based Compassion Training) course. We offer Presence Power Impact in two formats this year: weekly for 7 sessions and a 4-day intensive.
Within a community of CREATE educators, you will learn to:
- strengthen self-awareness, particularly in challenging moments
- understand and engage compassion for self and for others in our classrooms, schools, and communities
- meditate and engage in related contemplative practices
- cultivate greater personal resilience

Compassion Practice
Compassion Practice A core component of CREATE’s work since 2015, the practice of compassion meditation has contributed significantly to our impacts. And since Covid-19 began its devastation in Georgia, the need for these practices has only grown. In response, we offer a weekly, free 45-minute virtual guided compassion practice and reflection activity for ALL. The first 15 minutes will include a presentation led by a CBCT® (Cognitively-Based Compassion Training) instructor, followed by a 15 minute guided meditation and a 15 minute discussion.
