Equity Facilitation Fellowship

an 8-month fellowship for the next generation of facilitative leaders

The 2019-2020 fellowship application is closed. The application for 2020-2021 will open late Spring 2020.

The Equity Facilitation Fellowship provides innovative educators the opportunity to:

Network with like-minded educators across CREATE schools

Strengthen equity-centered facilitation skills

Build skills, be inspired and sustain holistic healing

The Equity Facilitation Fellowship is designed for Educators who...

  • seek the opportunity to go deeper with their own transformational leadership development with other equity-focused leaders
  • have expressed a commitment to leading, designing, and facilitating equity-centered learning experiences in their school communities

Fellowship Monthly Meetings

In order to be considered for the fellowship, applicants must be able to attend:

        1. Eight (8) monthly meetings:

  • October: Orientation 
  • November: Identity Development
  • December: Social Gathering
  • January: Art of Facilitation
  • February: Interpersonal Oppression
  • March: Guest Speaker
  • April: Institutionalized Oppression
  • May: Professional Presentation

All meetings are 2 hours in length and typically held evening hours. 

      2. Four (4) iGroup evening meetings (dates and times will be provided upon acceptance)

All evening iGroup meetings are from 5pm to 7pm.

CREATE Educators


$150* - Materials Fee Only

Non-CREATE Educators

(P-16, non profit leaders and community leaders)

$ 1,000* - Registration and materials fees

Limited seats for non-CREATE educators available.

*Fees are due upon acceptance into the Equity Facilitating Fellowship.  Flexible payment plans are available.  


The application process for the 2019/20 fellowship is currently closed.

When the 2020/21 application opens in the late Spring, we invite you complete it online. In order to complete the online application, you will need to have the following four things ready to submit:

  1. Cover Letter - a statement elaborating on your journey through educational equity, your desire towards developing leadership skills, and how participating as an equity facilitation fellowship aligns with your personal and professional goals. (Format: .docx, .doc, .pdf, .png, .jpeg)
  2. Current Resume. (Format: .docx, .doc, .pdf, .png, .jpeg)
  3. Contact information for a reference.  Your reference will be contacted after your application is received.
  4. Photo of yourself (Format: .pdf, .jpeg, .jpg)
